AI Policy for Restoration Economics
Restoration Economics is dedicated to the excellence of the human being. As such, we view technology as tools to enhance human creativity not to displace human worth and dignity.
Restoration Economics is committed to being transparent with our community about when content is human generated, versus when it is AI generated.
We will use a 4-tiered system proposed by Kevin Fraiser in December of 2023 on Lawfare. This system, called The Right To Reality, will clearly indicate the origin of content creation based on the following criteria:
Class 1
Content would have no or negligible risks of having been created, altered, or informed (that is, based on AI-led research) by AI tools. This class would constitute “organic” content, which is written by humans based on research conducted by humans.
Class 2
Content would have no risk or negligible risk of having been created or altered by AI tools but may be informed by research conducted with AI tools.
Class 3
Content would have moderate risk of having been created or altered by AI tools.
Class 4
Content would have a high risk of having been created or altered by AI tools. Both classes 3 and 4 would qualify as “artificial” content.
You can view Kevin Fraiser’s article here.
Most content on the Restoration Economics website will remain in Class 1, unless otherwise noted. The main exception is that some graphics will be generated through Imagine.Art, using AI-generated graphics. The graphics will be created through brand guidelines developed in conjunction with Gurudarhan Khalsa and Aquarian Vision Marketing. These graphics I would label as Class 3 content.
Unless specifically labeled, the reader can assume that all written and video content is Class 1, and some stand alone graphics, including the Restoration Economics logo, are Class 3.
